From cape Town we journey on the N 1 to the heart of the Winelands.... Paarl, where one can view the Paarl valley in all its glory from the Afrikaans Language monument. We visit a wine estate for wine tasting and buying, then onwards to the Franschhoek valley where the French Huguenots settled after fleeing persecution in France in the late 17th century. We taste
more wines en-route to Franschoek and then arrive in the wonderful town of Franschoek, where we shall eat a fantastic lunch. A gentle afternoon drive will see us in the historic university town of Stellenbosch, with it's Cape Dutch buildings and oak tree lined streets. We visit the Cheetah Outreach Project at Spier where one can get up close with one of Africas magnificent

Day 1:
After an early morning pickup, we depart for the game lodge, via the N2 towards the Eastern Cape and the Garden Route. We stop at the historical majestic town of Swellendam, where we will take a tour and enjoy relaxing lunch. Proceeding onwards to the Garden Route Game Lodge. Check-in is at 1.30pm. At 14h00 we will visit the cheetah breeding programme where
a guided walk will let you get up close with these majestic animals. We leave on our first game drive a 17h00 on 4 x 4 safari vehicle.
Dinner will be served at 7pm as you savour a candle lit Boma dinner where varied menu of tasty traditional South African cuisine can be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere around an open blazing fire. Complete your dinning experience with a selection of fine South African wines and friendly attentive service. After dinner relax around the bar in the Lapa or make use of the sauna, Jacuzzi or hot and cold swimming pools.
Day 2:
We start the day with a morning game drive at 7.30am and view the delights of the African bush, in an open 4 x 4 landdrover with knowledgeable and experienced game rangers and return at 9am for a big breakfast. From 10am - 10.30am you visit and take a tour of the Reptile Centre. As an optional extra for the more adventurous you can experience a guided horseback safari to allow for those closer wildlife encounters from 10.30am to 12.30pm. (price R325.00 per person)
After this adventure a light lunch will be served. After this will we
will drive back to Cape Town with it's historical buildings, and drive
back through Sir Lowry's Pass and it's apple orchard farmsteads.
